How does the new community differ from the former Scott-Farrar Home?

We are building on our 100+ year history of excellent and compassionate care for Monadnock area seniors by offering a broader continuum of services for today’s seniors. Our new community has been designed as three distinct “neighborhoods.” There are 25 spacious one- and two-bedroom independent living apartments; 20 assisted living apartments in our Brookside neighborhood; and 18 private bedroom suites in The Gardens Memory Care community. We offer our residents a wide array of social, cultural and recreational activities, medical and non-medical services, fine dining and beautifully landscaped grounds.

Is there a buy in fee?

No. Scott-Farrar will continue its long tradition as a non-profit and will operate on a monthly rental basis. However, there is a small, one time, Community Fee for apartments in Brookside Assisted Living and The Garden’s Memory Care Neighborhoods.

Does Scott-Farrar allow pets?

Yes. Scott-Farrar recognizes pets as important family members and welcomes them. One well-behaved, small-to-medium sized pet – dog, cat, bird or manageable fishbowl is our limit per apartment (pets will not be allowed in the Memory Care suites). Residents will be responsible for their pet’s care and well-being.

Can I bring my car?

Yes. There are 16 spaces available in our covered carport (for a small additional fee) and parking is also available in our main parking area at no charge. In addition, Scott-Farrar will provide regularly scheduled trips, such as to a local doctor, Bond Wellness Center, Monadnock Community Hospital, churches, grocery store and pharmacies and downtown Peterborough, using our own accessible shuttle bus and van. We will also use these vehicles to attend performances, explore regional highlights and attend other area events.
